WESLEY FAIRCHILD
Wesley Fairchild, Aged Blacksmith, Passes Friday Wesley Fairchild, 84, well known retired blacksmith of the Toms Creek section, passed away Friday morning, January 24, 1958 at the home of a son, Abner Fairchild, at Nippa, after an illness of two weeks.
Mr. Fairchild was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, and was born on March 27, 1873.
Surviving is another son, Robie Fairchild of Sitka, three daughters, Mrs. Nettie Carter, Urbana, Ohio, Mrs. Savillos Daniels, Nippa, and Mrs. Vondie Dale, Charlestown, Ind., also one brother, Frank Fairchild who resides in Florida.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, at the Mouth of Rush Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Claude Preston and Rev. Harry Salyer. Hymns were sung by the Toms Creek singers.
Burial was in the Sycamore Cemetery at Nippa. Paintsville Herald Wednesday 1-29-1958
