ABNER FAIRCHILD
1904-1978
Abner Fairchild, 74, of Nippa, died Sunday, July 23, at an area
hospital. The son of eh late Wesley and Hattie Castle Fairchild, He
was born May 27, 1904, and was a self-employed gunsmith and
blacksmith.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alice Murray Fairchild, a son, Eugene
Fairchild of Rushsylvania, OH; a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Music of
Paintsville, a brother, Roby Fairchild of Wabash, IN, two sisters,
Ms. Savilla Daniel of Nippa and Ms. Vondia Dale of Longwood, FL, and
five grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Fairchild were held Wednesday, July 26 in
the Chapel of the Preston Funeral Home with ministers Londis Meek and
Junior Womack officiating.
Burial was in the Willie Castle Cemetery at Cave Fork Hollow, Nippa,
with arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
