Herbert H. Ealey Sr., 69, of West Staffordsville, died
Friday, Aug. 2, 2002 at Highlands Regional Medical
Center, Prestonsburg.
  
Born Feb. 20, 1933, in Johnson County, a son of the late
Marshall and Gladys McFaddin Ealey, he was a butcher and
a U.S. Army veteran.
  
Survivors include his wife, Jean Gambill Ealey of West
Staffordsville; a son, Herbert H. Ealey Jr. of Cynthiana;
three daughters, Lorna Coots of Lakeland, Fla., Marchelle
Underwood of Paintsville and Cheryl Fannin of
Staffordsville; a brother, Tommy Ealey of Lexington;
three sisters, Imogene Doolin of Cynthiana, Pasty Lewis
of Whitehouse and Sue Kelly of Flat Gap; five
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
   
Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Ronnie Spriggs
and Larry Blair Sunday, Aug. 4, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, Paintsville.
  
Burial was in Ealey Family Cemetery, Barnetts Creek.
  
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
