ARTIE FRANCIS EALEY 1850-1936 WELL KNOWN BARNETTS CREEK WOMAN PASSES Mrs. Artie Francis Ealey, age 85 years, died at her home at Barnetts Creek, May 11, After several months of ill health due to advanced age. Mrs Ealey was one of the best Christian women of that community and her death brings sadness, not alone to her immediate family, but to her many friends and neighbors who knew her best. Mrs. Ealey was the widow of the late William Ealey who had preceded her in death. She had been a devout member of the Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Funeral services were held at the old Ealey homestead May 13. Burial in the family cemetery nearby. Rev. John Reed, Rev. J. H. Picklesimer, and Rev. Guy W. Preston were in charge of the funeral services. The Mountain Furniture & Hardware Company had charge of the funeral arrangements. Paintsville Herald Thursday June 21, 1936
