JAMES E. DUTY 1936-2007 JOHNSON COUNTY James E. Duty, 71, of Whitehouse, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville. Born Dec. 12, 1936, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Kenis and Eliza Baldridge Duty. He was a coal miner. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maudie Adams Duty, in 1990. Survivors include three sons, Rick Duty of Whitehouse, Rusty Duty of London, and Roger Duty of Salyersville; a daughter, Rita Burchett of Carterville, Ga.; three brothers, Ralph Pigg of Michigan, Alfred Pigg of Lawton, Okla., and Christopher Duty and; and six sisters, Rowena Labadie Annabelle Nokes of Lexington, both of Lexington, Faye Doolin of Wilmore, Birdie Montgomery of Nicholasville, Barbara Beck of Redmond, Va., and Peggy Weekly of Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Friday, April 13, at Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with B. Joe Hill officiating.
