LEE EPPERSON DAVIS SR.
1931-1985
  
Lee Epperson Davis, Sr. 53 died Sunday, April 7, in Va Hospital in
Huntington, W. Va.
  
Mr. Davis was born October 1, 1931 in Chatteroy, W. Va. , the son of
Neva Mills Davis and the late John Herman Davis. He was a resident of
Thealka.
  
Surviving are his mother; his wife, Doris Dooley Davis, who he married
January 1, 1953; two sons Lee Epperson Davis, Jr. of Van Lear and Tony
Davis at home; three daughters Sharon Leigh Burchett of
Staffordsville, Teresa Ann Kinner of Thealka, and Robin Michelle Davis
of home.
  
Also five brothers, Earl Davis of Versailles, John Davis of Davis
Branch, Leonard Davis of Meally. Russell Davis of Oceana, WV. And
Kenny Davis of Columbus, Ohio a sister Hazel Ford of Columbus and
three grandchildren: Dewayne Kinner, Jeremy Burchett and Melissa Amy
Burchett.
  
Funeral services were held April 5, in the Preston Funeral Home Chapel
with Bill Meadows, Bob Castle and Bo Hurion officiating.
  
Burial was in Horn Cemetery at Jenny’s Creek.
  
Pallbearers were Greg Donley, Mike Donley, Gary Donley, Jerry Meade,
Carl Lewis, Dave Fraley, Shanton Fraley and Kenneth John Davis.
