SMOLLIE DANIELS
1911-1974
    
Mrs. Smollie Daniels died in a local hospital
(Johnson Co Ky.) September 16 at the age of 63.
    
Born June 22 1911, she was the daughter of the late
Roy and Lizzie Daniels Scarberry. Mrs. Daniels resided at
Nippa and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
    
Surviving are her husband, Newt Daniels; three sons,
Roy of Ft. Myers, Fla., Arthur Ray of  Columbus, Ohio, and
Charles Lee of Paintsville; four daughters, Mary Griffy
and Henritta Puckett, both of Columbus,
Beatrice Jearlene Fraley, of Thealka, and
Dorathy Mae Napier of Jackson; two brothers, Oakley
Scarberry of New Paris, Ohio, and Emory Scarberry of 
Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Sybol Burns of Nippa,
Mrs. Maxie Blair and Mrs. Pearlie Meade of Cleveland
and Mrs. Gracie Brown of River; 22 grandchildren
and 8 great grandchildren.
   
Funeral services for Mrs. Daniels were held Friday
September 20, in the chapel of the Jones- Preston Funeral
Home with Reverends Don Fraley and Irvin Castle
officiating.
   
Burial was in the Roy Meadows Cemetery at Nippa with
arrangements under the directions of the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
