MOTHER OF FIVE, PASSES THURSDAY
SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR RESIDENT OF RIVER
Mrs. Laura Jean Daniels, 41, wife of John W. Daniels of River, died
suddenly of a hemorrhage at her home at 6:30 a.m., Thursday, March
8.
The daughter of Silver and Alice Ratliff Price of River, she was
born in that community January 6, 1914. She was a member of the
United Baptist Church.
Surviving besides her husband and parents are an infant son and
four other children; John Lowell, Jay Miller, Ora Alice and Joan
Carrol, all at home. Also surviving are the following brothers and
sisters, Vonita Price, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Bobby Stewart, Jane Va.,
Mrs. Ronnie Steel, Portsmouth, Ohio, Jack and Clebart Price, both
of River; Cecil, Millard and Silver Price, Jr. all of Jane, Va.
Funeral services were conducted at River United Baptist Church at
10:30a.m., Saturday, March 10, with Revs. Germ Walter’s, Grover
Fannin, and Cully Sparks as officiating ministers.
Burial was in the Daniels Cemetery under the direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
