BRUCE DAVID DANIEL
KILLED IN KOREA IN JEEP WRECK Services Held Today For Nippa Resident
A/2C Bruce Daniel, 22, son of Vance and Rilda Castle Daniel of Nippa, was killed May 24, 1954 in a jeep accident in Korea.
A lifelong resident of Johnson County, he was born October 26, 1931.
He graduated from Oil Springs High School in 194 and entered the service in 1951. He was married to the former Eldia Grimm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Grimm.
Surviving besides his parents and wife are the following brothers and sisters: Clyde Vencil, Edgel, Eschol, and Allen Wellman Daniel, all of Nippa; Mrs. Lilla Mae Miner, Nippa; Mrs. Dorothy Daniel, London, Ohio, Mrs. Euna Slone, Winifred; and Hattie Louise Daniel, Nippa.
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, June 23, 1954 at 1:30 at the Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Claude Preston officiating.
Burial was made in the Sycamore Cemetery at Nippa under the direction of the Jones and Preston Funeral Home.
