SAM CONLEY SR.
Sam Conley, 96, died July 14, 1965 at 9:15 p.m., at a local hospital
following an illness of ten days.
Born March 27, 1869, he was a son of John and Matilda Long Conley, and
was born in Johnson County.
He was a resident of Paintsville for 15 years. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his sons, Frank Conley, Paris; John Conley,
Dayton, Ohio; and Sam Conley,Jr., of Paintsvllle; three daughter,
Mrs. Arthur Gullett, Paintsville; Mrs. William Perry Richardson;
and Mrs, Milton William, Columbus, Ohio.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 16, at 2:00 p.m at the
Rock House Freewill Baptist Church, with
Rev. John Frank Ratliff officiating.
Burial took place in the Ratliff Cemetery with the Paintville
Funeral Home in charge.
NOTE: This Cemetery is also known as "TOPSY RATLIFF CEMETERY"
