HERSCHEL B. CONLEY

Martha resident Herschel B. Conley, 81, died March 8 at his
home.
  
Mr. Conley was born April 15, 1903, in Johnson County, a son
of Benjamin Franklin and Dora Meade Conley.  He was a
retired driller and a member of the Enterprise Baptist
Church.
  
Preceding him in death were two wives, Gracie Fyffe Conley,
1944, and Elsie Holbrook, 1980.
  
Surviving are his wife, Pheoba Ellen Skaggs Hamilton Conley,
three daughters, Evelyn Preston, Red Bush, Ernestine Conn,
Okridge, TN, and Gladys Preston, St. Paris, Ohio; three
brothers, W. R. Conley of Wittensville, Bryron Conley of
Flat Gap, and Howard C. Conley of Charleston, SC.
