MORRIS COLVIN 1895-1964 Morris Colvin, 68, died in a local hospital Thursday, July 23, following an illness of one week. Mr. Colvin was born September 15, 1895, a son of the late Albert and Laura Ann Spradlin Colvin. A farmer, he was a member of the Baptist Church and had been a lifetime resident of Denver. Survivors include his wife, Erie Arms Colvin; three sons, Leo Colvin, Barnetts Creek; Theodore Colvin, Leander; Richard Colvin, Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Ann Laura Johnson, Collista; Mrs. Katherine Colvin, Denver; Mrs. Bonnie Faye Colvin, Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Claude Colvin, Staffordsville; Estill Colvin, Paintsville; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Kestner, Hager Hill; Mrs. Beulah Arms, Leander; Mrs. Shellie Blair, Chillicothe, Ohio; Mrs. Stella Mae Byser, Cincinnati, Ohio. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 26, in the Denver Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. John G. Sammons and the Rev. Clifford Coleman officiating.
