ANNIE MAY BOWEN

Annie May Bowen, 88, Wabash, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997
at her residence.

She was born May 10, 1909 at Paintsville, KY to Jack and Viola
(Spears) Bowen. 

She moved to Wabash in February 1997 from Van Lear, KY.

She is survived by a son, Russell Smith of Wabash, IN; a
brother, Raymond Bowen of Van Lear, KY; sisters Norma
Young of Van Lear, KY and Gertrude Horne of Staffordsville,
KY; eight grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 15
great-great grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Main St. Chapel, Grandstaff-
-Hentgen Funeral Service in Wabash on Friday. 

The body was taken to Jones and Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville, KY on Sunday, Oct. 12 where the funeral
service was held Monday, Oct. 13, 1997 with Rev. 
Dick VanHoose officiating.

Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery of Staffordsville,
Johnson Co Ky.
