KENNETH BORDERS
1924-2003
JOHNSON COUNTY — Kenneth “Ken” Borders, 78, of Paintsville,
died Saturday, May 10, at UK Medical Center, Lexington.
Born Oct. 7, 1924, in Lawrence County, he was a son of the
late McKinley and Goldie Castle Borders.
He was a strip-mine foreman with Island Creek Coal Company and
a member of First Baptist Church of Paintsville.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Davis Borders of
Paintsville; a brother, McKinley Borders of Toledo, Ohio; and
two sisters, Frances Shy and Francis Moals, both of Columbus,
Ohio.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 13, at First Baptist Church
with Revs. Donnie Patrick and Dr. Charles Milam officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery,
Staffordsville, under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home,
Paintsville.
