WILLIE BLANTON
  
Willie Blanton, 65, lifelong resident of Volga, KY, died in a local
hospital Monday, following an illness of several weeks.
  
He was married to Lola Colvin who preceded him in death nine years
ago.
  
Surviving are his wife Mertie Blanton; two sons, Haskel and Frank
Blanton, both of Volga; one daughter, Mrs. Hobart McKenzie, also of
Volga.
  
Other survivors include the following brothers and sisters: George
Blanton, Volga; Albert Blanton, Ironton, Ohio; John F. Blanton and
Kendrick Blanton, both of Volga; Mrs. Edgar Lemaster, Portsmouth,
Ohio; Mrs. O. L. Williams, Red Bush; Mrs. Virgil Butler, city; Mrs.
Bexford Trimble, Volga.
  
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM today (Wednesday) at the
home at Volga, with the Rev. Kendrick Blanton officiating.
  
Burial will be in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
