Luda (Jones) Blanton, 63, of Volga died Thursday, June 8 at her home
following a brief illness.
  
She was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Ella O’Bryan Jones.
  
Immediate survivors include her husband, Haskell Blanton, four sons,
Lowell T. Blanton of Flat Gap, Jack Blanton of Volga, Bill Blanton of
Jamestown and Kendrick Blanton of Springfield, OH; two daughters,
Roberta Blanton of Columbus, OH and Linda Esham of Georgetown and two
sisters, Corda McKenzie of Paintsville and Vada Lowry of Columbus,
OH.
  
Funeral services were conducted by Harold Salyers at 10 a.m.
Saturday, June 10 at the home.
  
Burial followed in the family cemetery at Flat Gap under direction of
the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
