Miss Effie Blanton Succumbs July 22
  
Miss Effie Blanton, 35, daughter of Mrs. Betty Blanton of Barnetts
Creek, died July 22 following an operation in a local hospital.
  
She was formerly connected with the Johnson County Health
Department.
  
She is survived by her mother; seven sisters, Mrs. John Osborn,
Prestonsburg, Ky., Mrs. Walter Long, South Point, Ohio, Mrs. Ted
Bays, City, Mrs. Joe Long, Mrs Orville Fink and Anna Blanton,
City, and two brothers, Johnnie Blanton, Tutor Key, and Wayne
Blanton, City.
  
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 24, at the Barnetts
Creek Church by Revs Lonza Reed, Foster Riggsby, and William
McKenzie.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery at Barnetts Creek.
