SAMUEL BLAIR 1886-1957 Samuel Blair, 70, Passes Sunday Services Held Today For County Resident Samuel Blair, 70, died Sunday at his home in Staffordsville following an illness of one year. Born July 11, 1886, he was the son of Harlan and Lydia Blair. Mr. Blair was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Estep Blair; eight sons, Marvin Blair, Chalmer Blair, Major Blair and Escom Blair, all of Staffordsville, Melvin Blair, Lowmansville, Frank Blair, Sitka, Richard Blair, Newport News Va. and Ronald Blair, Dayton Ohio: one daughter Mrs. Freddie Wheeler, Staffordsville. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Dona McKenzie and Thursa Blair, both of Pikeville. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at the Staffordsville Freewill Baptist Church with Scott Castle and Woodrow Frisby officiating.
