"Ted" Blair, 42, Dies Suddenly at Barnetts Creek James Thomas "Ted" Blair, 42, died suddenly Thursday morning at the home of his brother, Burlie Blair, Barnetts Creek.
The son of Hattie George Blair of Marion, Ohio, and the late John Blair, he was born January 3, 1913, at Barnetts Creek.
He was a resident of Oil Springs for several years, where he was engaged in farming.
Surviving besides his mother are one son, Raymond Harold Blair, Oil Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Vivian Crace, Falcon, Ky., Kay and Janet Blair, both of Oil Springs.
Other survivors include three brothers, Grand and Burlie Blair, both of Barnetts creek, and Dennis Blair, Marion, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Russell Mewhorter, Marion, Ohio, and Mrs. Benson Litteral, Oil Springs.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. Litteral, at Oil Springs. Officiating ministers were cullie Sparks, Ferman Blair and Millard Bryant.
Burial was made in the Rice Cemetery at Barnetts Creek under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
