CHALMER BLAIR
1916-1997
    
Chalmer Blair, 81, of Staffordsville, died Thursday, October 30, 1997,
at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
  
He was born May 11, 1916, in Johnson County, the son of Samuel Blair 
and Mary Alice Estep.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Venus Blair.
He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Salyer Blair; two sons, Benny 
Blair of St affordsville and Robbie Blair of Flat Gap; two daughters,
Helen Yontz of Springfield, Ohio; and Evelyn Hensley of Paintsville;
nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one brother,
Frank Blair of Sitka.
  
Services were November 1, at Staffordsville Freewill Baptist Church
with Reverend Mike Blanton and Reverend Harold Conley officiating.
  
Burial was at the Staffordsville Church cemetery.
