BURLIE BLAIR 52 PASSES AT HOME RITES SATURDAY
Services were held Saturday afternoon, October 13,(1956) at Barnetts Creek United Baptist Church for Mr. Burlie Blair, who died at his home at Barnetts Creek, Ky., on Wednesday, October 10, after a brief illness.
Born September 23, 1904 in Johnson County, he was the son of the late john W. Blair and Hattie George Blair, who survives him.
Mr. Blair had been a lifelong resident of Barnetts Creek and was occupied as a tool dresser in the oil fields.
Surviving besides his mother are his wife, Hazel Blair, two sons, Kenward Pitt Blair, with the U. S. Air Force, and John Wayne Blair, at home; eight daughters, Mrs. Luraline Price, Mrs. Betty Auldich, both of Marion, Ohio; Mrs. Theoda Fairless, Corpus Christy, Texas; Mrs. Mildred Caudill, Barltha, Freda, Charlotte and Yvonne, all at home. two brothers, Dennie Blair, Marion, Ohio and Grant Blair, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Litteral, Oil Springs and Mrs. Hazel Mewhorter, Marion, Ohio.
Officiating ministers were Prater Blair and Francis Blair.
Burial was made in the family cemetery at Barnetts Creek under the direction of the Jones Preston Funeral Home.
