JOHN FRUE BALDWIN
1883-1962

John Baldwin, 78, well-known farmer of Oil Springs, died in a local
hospital at 6:30 a.m. Monday after an illness of two weeks.

The son of S. A. and Hannah Davis Baldwin, he was born at Oil
Springs, November 20, 1883, and had been a lifelong resident of that
community. He was a member of the United Baptist church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Baldwin whom he married November
7, 1907, at Barnetts Creek; two sons, Leaborn Baldwin and Hershell
Baldwin both of Oil Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Oakley Reed, Oil
Springs, Mrs. Edna Earl Arms, Greensburg; four brothers, Dock
Baldwin, Sunbury, OH; Luther Baldwin, Win; Clint Baldwin, Barnetts
Creek; McKinley Baldwin of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Eunice
Webb, Susan Ann Baldwin and Mrs. Nora Webb all of Oil Springs. Also
surviving are 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at the Davis Branch
Church at Oil Springs with Lonza Reed, Thurman Ferguson, and Foster
Rigsby as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the Baldwin Cemetery at Oil Springs.
