HANSEL ARROWOOD Hansel Arrowood, 63, died May 15 1984 at his Meally home following an extended illness. Mr. Arrowood was born February 11, 1921 in Johnson County, a son of Melvin and Etta McKenzie Arrowood. He was a retired miner, and member of Buffalo United Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Davis Arrowood, who he married November 2, 1946; a daughter, Debra Spence, Meally, four brothers; Walter and Douglas Arrowood, Meally, Lawrence Arrowood of Westwood, and Clarence Arrowood of Flatwoods; three sisters, Elsie Ward, Meally, Mary Preston, Flatwoods and Naomi Hagar of Paintsville; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 17 in Buffalo United Baptist Church with Glen Arrowood, Ivan Butcher and Arthur Preece officiating. Burial was in the Arrowood Family Cemetery, Meally; under the direction of Preston Funeral Home.
