A brief illness ended in death for Pearl Arnett, 48, who passed away
January 17 in a Paintsville hospital.
  
The former Thealka resident and Koren War veteran was a member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
  
He was born in Clay County to the late John and Martha Arnett.
  
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Arnett; a step daughter in Thealka,
Georgia Bush; two brothers from Hazard, Golden and Harlas Arnett;
three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Garner and Mrs. Elizabeth Bush of
Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Betty Banks of Hazard. The Reverands C. C.
Hall and Don Fraley held services today, Wednesday, in the
Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, with interment afterward in the
family cemetery at Davis Branch.
  
The Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
