HERSHEL ARMS
1909-1979
   
Hershel Arms, 69, died Monday, January 8, at his Brown Street
residence. Mr. Arms was born July 18, 1909 in Johnson County, son of
Dan and Polly Ratliff Arms.
  
He was a C & O Railway employee and was preceded in death by his
wife, Jessie Jones Arms, February 21, 1977.
  
Surviving are two sons, Douglas Arms, Phoenix, AZ, and John Thomas
Arms, Lincoln Park, MI; two daughters, Judee Spears and Lesia Arms,
Paintsville; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Skidmore, Thealka; and 7
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 11 in Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel.
  
Burial will be in the family cemetery at Kerz with Paintsville
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
