Robert "Pete" Alsobrooks, Sr., 59, of Nippa, died Friday, July 13, at
his residence.
  
Born Aug. 16, 1947, at Sheffield, Ala., he was a son of the late
Jimmy and Maddie McCormick Alsobrooks. He was a freight truck driver.
  
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Adams "Corky" Alsobrooks of Nippa;
two sons, Robert G. Alsobrooks, Jr., of Sheffield; and Michael King
of Russellville; three daughters, Lisa Jarvis of Paintsville, Suellen
Alsobrooks of Wittensville, and Belinda Gayle Alsobrooks of East
Point; two sisters, Shirley Whitehead of Sheffield, and Sarah
Alsobrooks of Florence; five grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Monday, July 16, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel, Paintsville, with Rev. Francis Rice officiating.
  
Burial was in Rice Cemetery, Nippa, under direction of Paintsville
Funeral Home.
