ALKA ADKINS
1905-1982
       
Mrs. Alka Mayo Adkins, 77, died Saturday, March 13, 1982,   in the
Paintsville Hospital after an extended illness.
  
Born February 23, 1905, in Johnson Co., Ky., she was the daughter
of H. B. and Cynthia Collins Wells.
  
Mrs. Adkins was a resident of Paintsvile and a member of the
Freewill Baptist Church.
  
Surviving are her husband, Bill Adkins; two daughters, Josephine,
Thelma and Maxine Daniel, Van Lear; two brothers, Joe Wells, Van
Lear, and Ashley Wells, Huntington; a sister, Maxine Ramey, Van
Lear; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 16, in Tom’s Creek
Freewill Baptist Church with James Kelly Caudill officiating
  
Burial was in the Holbrook Family Cemetery with Preston Funeral
Home in charge of the arrangements.
