IRENE ADAMS
1916-1995
  
Irene Picklesimer Adams, 78, died Thursday, September 21,
1995, at Highlands Regional Medical Center.
  
Mrs. Adams was born Friday, October 20, 1916, in Johnson
County, the daughter of the late Maurice and Mae Watkins
Picklesimer.  She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
  
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Ben Adams, on
Wednesday, June 19, 1963.
  
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Kestner and Shirley
Adams, both of Hager Hill; one stepdaughter, Joan Prater of
Staffordsville; and tow grandson and three step-
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 24, 1995, at
Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, with Revs. Herb Arms and
Danny Ward officiating.
  
Burial was in Picklesimer Family Cemetery at Denver.
