WILLIAM G. WILLIAMS
1894-1967
William G. Williams, age 73, died Saturday, May 13, at 2:15 p.m. in a
local nursing home.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 15, at 11 a.m. in the
chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with Ellis Hamilton and Alfred
Frazier, Jr. officiating. Special music was provided by the
Staffordsville Quartet.
Interment followed in the Burke Cemetery at Oil Springs with the
Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born February 4, 1894 in Morgan County, he was the son of D.B. and
Rhoda E. Cooper Williams.
He had resided at Oil Springs and was a former oil field employee.
His wife the late Esta L. Williams preceded him in death on February
25, 1966.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marie Blanton of Oil Springs, a
brother T.H. Williams of Oil Springs and two sisters, Mrs. R.C. Meade
of Louisa and Mrs. Hoyt Osborne of Ironton, Ohio.
Also surviving is a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Blevins of
Springfield, Ohio and one great granddaughter.
