GEORGE WARD SR
1915-1964
George Ward, Sr. 49, a former resident, died Monday, July 27, 1964,
unexpectedly at his home in Ashville, OH.
A son of Josephine Conley Ward, and the late William Ward, he was born
May 9, 1915, in Johnson Co., An autobody repairman, he had been a
resident of Ashville, OH for one year.
He is survived by his wife Essie Bowen Ward.
Other survivors include four sons, Henry Davis Ward, and William B. Ward,
Columbus, OH., George Ward, Jr., Lancaster, OH; and Charles Ray Ward, at
home; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Dixon, Columbus, OH.; Lois Jean Ward, at
home; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Johnson, Sugar Grove, OH; Mrs. Josephine
Dutton, Springfield, OH.; and Mrs. Dora Gullett, Paintsville.
Funeral rites were conducted today at 1:30 p.m., in the Jones and Preston
Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Castle officiating.
Burial was in the Butcher Cemetery at Boons Camp.
