AGED CITIZEN OF BRIDGFORD

Lafayette (Jackson) Van Hoose Succumbs Monday, Age 86

Lafayette (Jackson) VanHoose died Monday afternoon, September 9, at
his home in Bridgford Addition.

Mr. VanHoose was 86 years of age and had been in poor health for more
than a year. He had been seriously ill for the past two weeks and his
death had been expected.

Mr. VanHoose was a member of one of the oldest and largest families in
the county and leaves many relatives.

Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2
o’clock. Rev. Millard VanHoose, a relative of the deceased, conducted
the services. Burial was made in the family cemetery near the home.

He is survived by his aged widow Lizzie Daniel VanHoose, two sons,
Earl H. VanHoose and Ivan VanHoose, both of Bridgford. He is also
survived by one sister, Mrs. Hemma Sublett, of Mill Branch Road, near
Paintsville, and John Z. VanHoose of the Toms Creek section.

The Paintsville Furniture Company had charge of funeral arrangements.
