ROBIE LEE TACKETT
1933-1996
Whitehouse resident Robie Lee Tackett, 62, died Thursday, January
18,(1996) at Paul B. Hall Regonial Medical Center.
Mr. Tackett was born September 16, 1933, in Johnson County, the son
of Ida Castle Tackett and the late Andy Tackett. He was a brick
layer.
He was also preceded in death by one stepson, David Lynn Dutton,
one brother, Marion Tackett and one sister, Mary Sites.
Surviving are his mother; his wife, Edith Litton Tackett; four
stepsons, Eric Dutton of Whitehouse, Denny Dutton of Crestline,
Ohio, Danny Bayes of Chestnut and Keith Short of Missouri; one step
daughter, Mary Francis of Crestline; two brothers, Carl and James
Tackett, both of Whitehouse; three sisters, Yvonne McMann and
Loretta Blake, both of Columbus, Ohio and Margie Welsh of
Whitehouse; and eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 21, at Hammond Freewill
Baptist Church, with Issac Rowland officiating.
Burial was in Tackett Cemetery at Hammond, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
