EDITH CHRISTINE TACKETT
1926-2001
Whitehouse resident Edith Christine Litton Dutton Tackett, 74, died
Friday, January 26, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Tackett was born April 8, 1926, in Johnson County, to the late
Elbert and Sarah Ellen Litton.
She was a retired nurse.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robie Tackett, in
1996.
Surviving are two sons, Danny Bayes of Whitehouse and Keith Short
of Derby, Kansas; one daughter, Mary Dutton France of Whitehouse;
one brother, Hillard Litton of Timpey, Arizona; and 10
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 28, at Hammond Freewill
Baptist Church, with Isaac Rowland officiating.
Burial followed in Tackett Family Cemetery at Whitehouse.
