R.C. STAMBAUGH
  
Wittensville resident, R.C. Stambaugh, 63 died Friday, January 
27 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, Ky.
    
Mr. Stambaugh was bron July 24, 1931, in Johnson County, the 
son of the late Fred and Jemina Burchett Stambaugh. 
    
He was a maintenance man worker for Carl Perkins Rehabilitation
Center.
  
Surviving are his wife Bertice Burchett Stambaugh, one son Gary
Stambaugh of Wittensville; one daughter, Lori Stambaugh, of 
Wittensville; one brother Lucian Stambaugh of Whitesburg; 
and three sisters, Geraldine "Teen" Castle of Wittensville,
Tilda Chandler of Hager Hill and Jessie VanHoose of
Paintsville.
  
Funeral services were held Monday, January 30 at Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with Paul Castle and Elders Rutherford Blair, 
Claude Mollett and W.I. Walters officiating.
  
Burial was in Patty Flat Cemetery,
Flat Gap, Johnson Co Ky.
