RHODA SPRADLIN
1885-1949
Former Postmaster
Miss Rhoda Spradlin, 53, prominent Denver woman, died at a local
hospital on Saturday, April 9, 1949 at 7:00 p.m. after an illness of
two weeks.
Miss Spradlin, was a former Denver postmaster and had been engaged
in the mercantile business for a number of years.
The daughter of the late Ben and Rhonda Fitzpatrick Spradlin, she
was born August 19, 1885, She was a member of the United Baptist
Church and had been a resident of Denver all her life.
She was held in high esteem by the people of her community and she
will be greatly missed.
Surviving is one sister Mrs. Manda Price, with whom she made her
home.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 1949
at the home in Denver by the Revs. Claude Preston, Scott Castle and
Charley Lemaster.
Burial was made in the family cemetery at Denver under the direction
of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
