MADGE SPARKS

Madge Sparks, 97, of Flat Gap, died Friday Jan.19 2001 in
Mountain Manor Nursing Home at Paintsville.
  
Mrs. Sparks was born June 13, 1903, in Johnson County, a
daughter of the late Jay Lee and Elizabeth Salyer.
  
Her husband, Hobert Sparks, also preceded her in death.
  
Surviving are four sons, James Haston Sparks of
Westerville, Ohio, Hobert Sparks Jr. of Delaware, Ohio,
and Cecil Ray Sparks and Marion Eugene Sparks, both of
Sunberry, Ohio; a daughter, Nancy Sue Wheeler of
Staffordsville; 15 grandchildren; several great-
grandchildren; and several great- great-grandchildren.
  
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones-
Preston Funeral Home at Paintsville by Ellis Hamilton and
Adam Wade Sparks.
  
Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery at Flat Gap.
