EDWARD SPARKS
  
Edward [Ed] Sparks, 75, of Swamp Branch died Friday,
November 12 1971 at the Paintsville Hospital following a
two year illness.
  
He was the son of the late Lee and Georgeann May Sparks.
  
Immediate survivors include two sons Erman Sparks of
Piqua, Ohio, and Garland Sparks of Akron, Ohio, six
daughters, Mrs. Ethel Reynolds of Troy, Ohio, Mrs. Hazel
Caudill of Swamp Branch, Mrs. Jewel Wright of Louisville,
Mrs. Juanita Sharits of DeGraff, Ohio, Mrs. Reva Mizer of
Troy, Ohio and Mrs. Joy Kerrigan of Middletown, Ohio and
Mrs. Lilliam Ressel of Troy, Ohio. Also surviving were
two brothers, Ellis Sparks of Ivyton, and Virgil Sparks
of Dayton, Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Marsha Henize of
Bativa, Ohio, Mrs. Lizzie Kazee of Salyersville, and Mrs.
Dicie Hampton of Dayton, Ohio.
  
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, November 14 at
the Riceville Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Charles
Stapleton and Rev. Paul Daniel at 2:00 p.m.
  
Burial followed in the Mitchell Price Cemetery at Oil
Springs under direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
