Charlie Roberts, 68, who died Tuesday morning, Feb. 25 1947 of a
cerebral hemorrhage at his home here, will be held today (Thur.) at 2
o'clock at the Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Roberts suffered a stroke about one year ago from which he never
recovered, although his condition was showing improvement until a few
days before his death.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Roberts and a member
of an old and prominent family of Paintsville.
He is survived by his wife, Louellen Van Hoose Roberts, four
daughters and two sons, Mary Brownlee, Seamon, Ohio Eloise Childers,
city, Mrs. Lorena Butcher, Williamsport, Pauline, at home, Earl, city
and Thomas of Ironton, O. Two sons preceded him in death, Henry, who
was killed in France while serving in World War II and William who
died in infancy.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Millard Fan Hoose.
Burial will be made in the family lot in the Town cemetery.
