ERMA MAXINE RICE
1908-1966

Erma Maxine Rice age 58, died Monday, August 15, 4:30 a.m. at a
local hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held today at the Methodist Church at Oil
Springs with Revs. James James Wallace and Clifford Isbell
officiating.

Born February 29, 1908 in Magoffin County she was the daughter of
Millard C and Nannie Ward Caudill.

Spending most of her time on Oil Springs she belonged to the First
baptist Church. She has been employed as a school teacher and had
taught in Magoffin and Johnson Counties.

Her husband Alva Rice survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Alice Conley
and Betty Lou Rice of Oil Springs and Mrs. Kaye Alley of Lexington
and a sister, Mrs. Eva Keathley of Pikeville.

Burial was in the Price Cemetery at Oil Springs under the
direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
