BRUCE RICE

Bruce Rice, 65, died Monday, August 31, in a local hospital.  Mr.
Rice was born December 25, 1898, a son of John E. and Mary
Stapleton Rice.  A farmer, he had spent his entire life at Flat
Gap.
  
Survivors include one brother, Walter Rice, South Shore; three
sisters, Rhoda Rice, Flat Gap; Mrs. Fred Williams, Red Bush; and
Mrs. Ollie Woodard, Portsmouth, Ohio.
  
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, in
the Bethel Church at Flat Gap, with the Rev. Lonza Reede and the
Rev. Tommy Bailey officiating.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery at Flat Gap.
