MITCHELL PRICE
1910-1993
    
Funeral servives were held Saturday, July 3, for
Mitchell Price, 83, who died Wednesday, June 30 1993 at
his Oil Springs residence.
  
Mr. Price was born May 6, 1910 in Johnson County, the
son of the late Winfield Scott Price and Amanda Rice
Price.  He was retired from the Paintsville Grocery
Company.
  
Surviving are his wife, Emma Stapleton Price; two sons,
Neal Price of Georgetown and John Price of Lexington;
five daughters, Janet Shearer of Winchester, Neeka Penix
of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Christine Caudill of Xenia,
Ohio, Roberta Nickerson of Hickory, NorthCarolina and
Blanche Wheeler of Lovettsville, Virginia; two sisters,
Edna Greenwade of Prestonsburg and Lena Hardin of
Buford, Ohio; and 19 grandchildren and 20 great
grandchildren.
  
Officiating at servicces in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel were Doug Lawson, C. P. Compton and James Kelly
Caudill.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery at Oil Springs.
