PAUL PELPHREY, 26, FORMERLY OF VAN LEAR, TO BE BURIED SAT.
Paul Pelphrey, 26, former resident of Van Lear, died in a Columbus,
Ohio hospital Monday, October 20, 1952, from injuries suffered in
Columbus on October 17.
The report on his death at the Jones Funeral Home shows he died of
injuries inflicted on both sides of the head, the cause of which is
unknown. He was not working at the time.
An autopsy was completed at the Columbus Hospital, but the report
was not made available as the Herald goes to press.
Born November 20, 1925, at Van Lear, he was the son of Milford and
Rosa Blair Pelphrey. He was an employee of the North American
Aircraft Corporation at Columbus at the time of his death.
Surviving besides his parents are the following brothers and
sisters; Milford Pelphrey, Jr.., U.S. Army, Mrs. Mary Anna McFaddin,
Paintsville, Mrs. Geraldine Bradford, Columbus, Ohio; James, Larry
Joe, Lowell, Madonna R., Kenneth A., Carollton C, and Clarence E.
Pelphrey, all of Van Lear.
Services will be held at the Van Lear Freewill Baptist Church at
1:00p.m. Saturday with the Revs. Prater Blair and Lonza Reed
Burial will be made in the family cemetery at Van Lear under the
direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
