DEWEY MURPHY

Dewey Murphy, 73, of Nippa died Sunday, October 24, 1973
in a local hospital following an extended illness.

He was a retired coal miner and affiliated with the
Freewill Baptist Church.

He was the son of the late Henry and Julia Meadows
Murphy.

Immediate survivors include his wife, Lella Castle
Murphy, and three sisters, Tillie Murphy of Wittensville,
Susie Ward of Wittensville, and Thelma Frith of Van Lear.

Funeral services were conducted by C. C. Hall, Claude
Preston, Charles Stapleton, and Millard VanHoose at 2:00
p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 1973 at the Mouth of Rush
Freewill Baptist Church.

Burial followed in the Murphy Cemetery at Nippa under
direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
