VOLGA WOMAN DIES SUNDAY
SERVICES TOMORROW FOR MRS.VERNA MCKENZIE

Mrs. Verna McKenzie, wife of Beldon McKenzie of Volga, died at her home
Sunday morning folllowing an illness of several months.

The daughter of Alva and Belle Salyer Lemaster, she was born November 12,
1903, at Flat Gap.

She was a member of the United Baptist Church.

Surviving besides her husband, are two sons, Sgt. James A. McKenzie, U.S.
Army, San Francisco, California, and Billy McKenzie at home; six
daughters, Mrs. Clayton MAggard, Hager Hill; Mrs. Ralph Murrell and Mrs.
Edgel Conley, both of Volga; Mrs. Frankie McKenzie, Springfield, Ohio;
and Wilma Jean and Dorothy Irene McKenzie both at home.

Also surviving are three brothers, Harry Lemaster, Flat Gap; Bruce
Lemaster, West Liberty; and Luther Lemaster, Flat Gap; and three sisters,
Mrs. James A. Curtis, Miss Mary Lemaster and Miss Lexie Lemaster, all of
Flat Gap.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Thursday morning at the home of
her sister, Mary Lemaster, Flat Gap, with Tommy Bailey and Lonza Reed
officiating.

Burial will be made in the Lemaster Cemetery at Flat Gap under the
direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
