Brother of Paintsville Banker Buried At Keaton
Proctor A. Lyon, 68, retired merchant of Louisa, and brother of
Ross Lyon, President of the First National Bank here,died Thursday
in a Louisa hospital following an illness of two and one-half
years.
Mr. Lyon owned and operated a hardware store after moving from
Keaton 40 years ago.
He was born at Keaton, Jan. 30, 1891, a son of the late Sanford
and Mary Skaggs Lyon. He had been a member of the Louisa Freewill
Baptist Church for 19 years.
Survivors include his wife, Esta Gillern Lyon; one daughter, Mrs.
Charles Johns, Louisa; one son, Manuel R. Lyon, Louisa; two
sisters, Mrs. S.B. Ball, Jr., Ashland and Miss Opal Lyons,
Louisa; five brothers, Forest F., of Blaine, Roscoe of this city,
Buell and Jesse, both of Louisa, and Robert Lyon, Orlando, Fla.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Louisa,and
burial was in the family cemetery at Keaton.
