TENNIE LONG
1897-1967
Mrs. Tennie Long, 70, died in a local hospital on Saturday, July 1,
11:45 p.m. after an illness of several months.
Born at Oil Springs on March 8, 1897, she was the daughter of James
H. and Arminta Winn Spradlin.
A lifelong resident of Oil Springs, she was married to Lindsey Long,
who preceded her in death on January 6, 1959. She was a member of the
Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by one son and five daughters, Joe Long of
Louisville, Mrs. Wayne Blanton of Dwale, Mrs. Flaudie Risner, Mrs.
Kite Blevins, and Mrs. Hearl Colvin all of Louisville and Mrs.
Herschell Conley of Oil Springs. Six grandchildren also susrvive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 4, at 2:00 p.m. in the Oil
Springs Methodist Church with Cline Salyer and Elva Conley
officiating.
Burial followed in the Litteral Cemetery at Oil Spprings, under the
direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
