JOHNSON COUNTY

Clarence Edmand King, 78, of Staffordsville, died Monday, June 2, at
his residence.

Born Aug. 24, 1929, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late
William S. and Dorothy Crislip King. He was a retired coal miner.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry King, in Feb. 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Lemaster King of
Staffordsville; four sons, James King of Meally, and Larry King,
Benny King, and David King, all of Staffordsville; three daughters,
Betty Castle of Thealka, Linda Spears of Hager Hill, and Rita Music
of Meally; two brothers, James King of Sandusky, Ohio and William
Sandy King of Wilcox, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 5, at Cold Springs United
Baptist Church with Dean Tackett, Eulas Adams and Allen Fannin
officiating.

Burial was in the family cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
