CLARENCE EDMAND KING 1929-2008 JOHNSON COUNTY Clarence Edmand King, 78, of Staffordsville, died Monday, June 2, at his residence. Born Aug. 24, 1929, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late William S. and Dorothy Crislip King. He was a retired coal miner. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry King, in Feb. 2008. Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Lemaster King of Staffordsville; four sons, James King of Meally, and Larry King, Benny King, and David King, all of Staffordsville; three daughters, Betty Castle of Thealka, Linda Spears of Hager Hill, and Rita Music of Meally; two brothers, James King of Sandusky, Ohio and William Sandy King of Wilcox, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren. Funeral services were Thursday, June 5, at Cold Springs United Baptist Church with Dean Tackett, Eulas Adams and Allen Fannin officiating.
