VAN LEAR WOMAN SISTER OF LOCAL MAN

Mrs. Etta Honaker, 57, wife of Sam Honaker of Van Lear and sister of
Melvin Webb of this city, died at her home at 10:00 am., Wednesday,
June 8, 1949, following an illness of two years.

A native of Johnson County, Mrs. Honaker was born at Van Lear July
8, 1891, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Webb.

A lifelong resident of Van Lear, she was a beloved ad respected
member of her community.

She was affiliated with the Church of Christ and lived a devout
Christian life.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons, John Clifford and Billie
Rae Honaker both of Van Lear, and one daughter, Mrs. Norma Akers of
West Van Lear.

Surviving also are the following brothers and sisters: W.M. Webb,
Greenup, Proctor Webb, Van Lear, Melvin Webb, City, Mrs. W.K. Phelps
of California, Mrs. Dave Elliott, Elk City, Okla., Mrs. Aldolphus
Phelps, Elk City, Okla., and Mrs. Lon Davis, Van Lear.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Church of Christ at Van
Lear at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 12, by Rev. Spurgeon Honeycutt.

Burial will be in the Van Lear Cemetery under the direction of the
Jones Funeral Home.
