DAISY HAMPTON
1901-1973
Daisy (McKenzie) Hampton, 72, of Route 3 Plain City, Ohio and
formerly of Johnson County, died at 6:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10
1973, in Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Ohio, following a brief
illness.
Mrs Hampton was born February 22 1901, in Johnson County, the
daughter of the late Asbury and Cora (Ward) McKenzie.
She was married to John Hampton on July 1919, and to this union was
born four daughters, Mrs Eulah Castle of Ashtabula, Ohio, Mrs. Mabel
Young and Mrs. Curtis Daniel, both of Plain City and Mrs. Ruth
Castle of Cattlettsburg.
She leaves to mourn her passing, not only her children and husband,
but also two sisters Mrs. J.M. Slone of Paintsville and Mrs. Roy
Daniels of Sitka; one brother, Richard McKenzie of Ashland, 17
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 10;00 a.m. Tuesday November 13,
at the George's Creek United Baptist Church, where she was a member
for many years, by Kevin Preston and Arnold Reed.
Burial was in the McKenzie Cemetery at Lowmansville with the
grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Arrangements were under the direction of Kilgore and Collier Funeral
Home of Cattletsburg.
