Woodford “Woody” Estep, 90, of Volga, died Sunday,
Sept. 7, 2003 at Mt. Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville.
  
Born April 23, 1913, in Fuget, he was a son of the late Dr. William
Wesley and Isabella Lemaster Estep. He was a line engineer, a member
of Flat Gap Masonic Lodge 616 F & AM; served on the Johnson County
School Board as board member for over 40 years, worked for Big Sandy
RECC for 35 years, served on the board for 17 years and was a member
of Cold Springs United Baptist Church.
  
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Estep; and a grandchild.
  
Survivors include three sons, William C. “Bill” Estep of Flat Gap,
Harold E. Estep of Meally and Dr. Carrol H. Estep of Centerville,
Ohio; a daughter, Phyllis Ruth Estep of Dayton; four grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 10, at
Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Elder Eulas Adams
officiating.
  
Burial will be in Blanton Branch Cemetery, Oil Springs, under
direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
